Job summary

Tasman School is a small, rural Year 0 to 8 school seeking a Certificated teacher for 2027. We value relationships and teamwork; our teachers know their ākonga well and contribute to the wider life of the school.

The successful applicant will teach across Years 1–8, bring energy to their classroom, and connect easily with children, colleagues and whānau. Applications close 12 October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Year 1–8 with a focus on holistic development.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver a rich programme and respond to kura tuatahi needs.
• Engage with learning languages, te reo Māori, and the arts as part of the curriculum.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and build strong relationships with whānau.
