Job summary

LiveHire Limited in Nelson, New Zealand, is seeking a qualified Electrician with a Supervisor ticket for a permanent, full-time role. You’ll work across marine and caravan conversions, WOF, and related commercial/industrial jobs, with a focus on managing whole projects from quoting to invoicing.

You’ll need NZ electrical registration and practising licence, supervisory experience, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with Supervisor ticket (2 years qualified) and NZ registration.
• Experience in marine and automotive electrical work.
• Full NZ driver's licence.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations, planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose faults and provide practical, reliable solutions.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications and technical drawings.
• Estimate labour or material costs from blueprints.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and electrical standards.
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and team members.
• Maintain tools, equipment and accurate job records.

Are you a qualified Electrician with a Supervisor ticket (2 years qualified) looking for long-term stability, varied work and a supportive team? We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused professional to join our client in a permanent, full-time position.

About the role

We are a small team, working in marine and caravan conversions and WOF including commercial and industrial work and are looking for an experienced qualified Electrician with with marine and automotive electrical skills that will support this role.

The role provides plenty of variety where no two days are the same, with with smaller jobs coming in and call outs and you would be part of a close knit team and have the ability to manage whole jobs from quoting to preparing invoicing for admin team to process.

Key responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations, planned maintenance and reactive repairs

What we’re looking for

• Current New Zealand electrical registration and practising licence
• Proven experience as a qualified Electrician and Supervisor
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Sound knowledge of electrical regulations and safe work practices
• A current full driver licence
• Good communication, organisation and customer-service skills
• Have marine and automotive skills to support the role
