Job summary

St James School (Aranui) in Canterbury seeks a certificated teacher to lead learning across Years 1–8 in a Catholic integrated setting. The successful candidate will deliver diverse curriculums including English, Maths, Science and The Arts, and support a strong Literacy and Numeracy programme.

The position is permanent on Scale A, commencing Term 1, 2026, with responsibilities across primary and middle year levels.

• Ability to deliver curriculum across multiple subject areas with literacy and numeracy emphasis.

Integrated Catholic, Years 1 – 6. Permanent Scale A position to commence Term 1, 2026. Middle school likely Years 3 and 4 class.
