Tiaki Wai, in partnership with Fulton Hogan, is seeking a motivated Serviceperson Drainage for Porirua to maintain the region’s wastewater and stormwater networks. This hands-on role offers a clear career path with ongoing training and progression opportunities.

You will work as part of a supportive team, gain industry-recognised qualifications, and have opportunities for overtime. The role emphasizes safety, customer communication, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hardworking attitude and flexibility to rostered shifts.
• Full Class 1 licence with ability to upgrade to WTR and Class 2.
• Experience in civil/construction industries and use of hand tools and small plant.
• Comfort with using tablets to record information.
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
• Certifications like First Aid, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights are beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair drainage and stormwater infrastructure.
• Install, unblock and repair drainage pipes, mains, valves and connections.
• Set and repair manhole covers and frames.
• Operate CCTV, jetting and root-cutting equipment.
• Use small plant and machinery including excavators safely.
• Respond to drainage overflows and emergencies.
• Participate in standby roster and on-call duties.
• Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders.

Connaissances

Reliable and hardworking

Full class 1 licence (minimum)

Willingness to gain WTR and Class 2

Experience in civil/construction

Ability to use iPad/tablet to record
