Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Acute Pain Service (APS) in a part-time role (72 hours per fortnight, 0.9 FTE). You will provide specialist perioperative nursing care, assess and manage postoperative pain, and work within a skilled multidisciplinary team to optimise patient recovery.

The role requires current nursing registration in NZ, a practising certificate, and postgraduate experience in

• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Postgraduate nursing experience in surgical, perioperative, critical care, or acute care settings.
• Advanced assessment and clinical decision making skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and equitable health outcomes.
• Experience in postoperative pain management, including PCA/epidural therapy, or willingness to develop expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialist perioperative nursing care within the Acute Pain Service (APS).
• Assess, monitor and support patients with pain management until discharge from APS.
• Collaborate with anaesthetic specialists and multidisciplinary teams to promote best-practice pain management and patient recovery.
