Job summary

Mastercard is hiring an Associate Managing Consultant for Advisors & Consulting Services, Performance Analytics on a 12 months fixed term. The role is based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea / Fiji and focuses on delivering data-driven insights for a large card migration program with Mastercard's client.

You will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement and scale analytical solutions using Mastercard data assets.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with data and analytics experience in BI and/or descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics.
• Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse large datasets and provide recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical rigour with deadline-driven work.
• Knowledge of metrics and benchmarking across multiple industries.
• Experience with data analytics software (SQL, Python, R) and building databases.
• Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent English communication and local language when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage deliverable development and workstreams in a payments or financial services context.
• Develop analytics strategies and programs leveraging data and technology.
• Maintain client relationships and act as a trusted partner.
• Create predictive models using segmentation and regression techniques.
• Review analytics end-products for accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead client meetings and contribute to intellectual capital with minimal oversight.
• Deliver sound business recommendations and client presentations.
• Plan and structure analysis to address client problems and synthesize findings.
• Grow to own day-to-day task management and collaborate with global teams.
