Job summary

Qube Ports NZ is seeking a People & Culture Officer to deliver day-to-day HR support across a large nationwide organisation. You will partner with managers and employees to ensure compliant, people-focused outcomes and drive initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, records, and wellbeing.

You will work with the P&C team to manage employment agreements, HRIS administration, and recruitment processes while contributing to employment relations and best-practice across the business.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR or related field preferred.
• Experience in HR or administrative role.
• Knowledge of NZ employment legislation.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence working with employees, managers and unions.
• Experience using HRIS and recruitment systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day People & Culture support and advice to managers and employees
• Draft employment agreements, variations, and employment correspondence
• Administer HRIS and recruitment systems (Jemini & PageUp)
• Support hiring processes including interviews, reference checks, and pre-employment checks
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
• Maintain accurate employee records and process pay and status changes
• Generate reports and support audits as required
• Support employee wellbeing initiatives and access to EAP services
• Assist with employment relations matters
