Job summary

Silver Fern Farms are seeking a passionate People Coordinator to join their Hastings site, supporting day-to-day queries, seasonal recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and learning activities.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will coordinate activities across the People team, ensuring seamless systems and great experiences for our team members. This role suits someone with administration experience in a unionised, shift-based manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an administration or coordination role, with attention to accuracy.
• Experience working in a unionised, shift-based and/or multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of NZ employment relations and policies helpful.
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for day-to-day queries and support site operations.
• Assist with seasonal recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and learning activities.
• Coordinate employment processes, ensuring compliant, efficient systems and great experiences for team members.
• Collaborate with the Regional People team and site leaders to deliver consistent services.

Silver Fern Farms are looking for a passionate People Coordinator to join their enthusiastic and supportive team at their Pacific site in Hastings.
You'll be the first point of contact for day-to-day queries, supporting seasonal recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and learning activities, while ensuring that our systems and processes run seamlessly. By partnering closely with the Regional People Advisor, Employment Coordinator, site leaders, and our wider People team, you’ll contribute to delivering efficient, people-focused services across our network.
Reporting to the Site Manager, this role provides essential coordination and administration support across the full spectrum of People activities, ensuring smooth processes and great experiences for our team members.

Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities

• In partnership with Production Leaders, improve team member engagement and attendance.
• Supporting Regional People Advisors, ensuring consistent, accurate application of people process and policies that align with Silver Fern Farms expectations and standards
• Support a range of seasonal recruitment activities, including advertising, interviews and new employee documentation
• Support the training team with onboarding process for all new seasonal staff

Ōu Pūkenga /About You

• You would ideally bring significant experience in an administration or coordination role, with experience working in unionised, shift-based and/ or multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Highly developed administration skills, with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
• Some understanding of NZ employment law, collective agreements, and industrial relations practices
• Strong relationship building skills with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Practical, customer focused and responsive
