Ember Korowai Takitini blends professional expertise and lived experience to offer a range of services and supports for anyone with mental health, addiction or intellectual disability needs. The Peer Support Worker role is based in central Rotorua and offers a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours per week.

You will draw on your own lived experience to support others, build authentic relationships, and help people move toward recovery within a values-led organisation.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience of mental health and/or AOD challenges.
• Experience in client-centred recovery support is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to individuals in the Rotorua community.
• Build authentic relationships and support recovery goals.
• Collaborate with clinical services and other supports.
