Ruapotaka School in Auckland is seeking a Year 4-5 PCT mentoring role. The position is part-time (0.1 FTE) and fixed-term from 5 February 2027 to 10 December 2027. It is one day a fortnight, with start date negotiable and day of the week flexible.

The successful candidate will join the PCT mentoring team and help plan the release day in collaboration with the release teacher, leveraging release teachers' strengths in planning.

Qualifications

• Mentoring experience required.
• Experience working with PCTs.

Responsabilités

• Plan the release day with the release teacher and use of release teachers' strengths in planning.
• Collaborate with the PCT mentoring team to support the Year 4-5 class and ensure smooth teaching continuity.

About the role

This position is one day a fortnight in a Year 4-5 classroom for a second year PCT. The start date is negotiable and the day of the week is also negotiable.

This position requires someone with mentoring experience as they will be a part of the mentoring team around the PCT.

The PCT will do the planning for the release day in collaboration with the release teacher and use of release teachers strengths will be a consideration when planning.
