Job summary

Zespri in Mount Maunganui invites applications for a People & Payroll Advisor on a 10-month fixed term contract. You will coordinate payroll with our external provider, maintain accurate people data, and support lifecycle activities while championing PeopleService Now and digital-first processes.

You will work within a global People Services team, with NZ focus and potential regional support; strong Excel, SAP SuccessFactors and reporting skills with Power BI are valued, and a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Payroll administration or coordination experience, ideally with an external payroll provider.
• Experience using an HRIS to maintain data, generate reports and support people processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse and present people data.
• Understanding of HR, payroll, tax and privacy principles.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication, sound judgement and problem-solving ability.
• Digital curiosity and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Collaborative approach and focus on positive employee experience.
• Experience across a global environment and flexibility to support different regions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll delivery through our external provider and resolve queries.
• Maintain accurate people data across systems and run regular reconciliations.
• Process employee data changes and lifecycle transactions.
• Produce reports and insights using SAP SuccessFactors, Excel and Power BI.
• Advocate for PeopleService Now to support self-service and consistent service.
• Maintain process documentation and improve workflows in People Services.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
• Contribute to wider People Team initiatives and transformation projects.
