Job summary

UCC Coffee Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll across NZ and Australia in a hybrid, 4-day week role. You’ll supervise one direct report and partner with stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant payroll delivery and drive improvements.

Experience end-to-end payroll, NZ/Australia legislation, and iChris/Chris21 is essential. Based in East Tamaki (NZ) or Sydney, you’ll enjoy a flexible environment and the chance to shape payroll processes.

Are you ready to take the lead in delivering payroll excellence across New Zealand and Australia? In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day payroll operations for Australian and New Zealand entities. Leading one direct report, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate, compliant and efficient payroll delivery. Leveraging your technical expertise and proactive approach, you'll be responsible for maintaining payroll integrity, ensuring compliance with tax and employment legislation, managing payroll systems and reporting, and providing trusted advice to stakeholders. You'll also have the opportunity to drive process improvements, contribute to key payroll projects, and support change initiatives that enhance efficiency and deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and enjoys balancing competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. You bring solid experience in end-to-end payroll processing, a strong understanding of payroll legislation across New Zealand and Australia, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You must have experience working with iChris/Chris21. Naturally curious and continuously looking for better ways of working, you'll be confident identifying process improvements, navigating complex payroll matters, and contributing to a high-performing payroll function.

This is a part-time opportunity (4 days per week, ideally Monday to Thursday, although we are open to discussing alternative working arrangements). Based in our East Tamaki location. We are also open to this role being based in Sydney.
