We’re looking for a Paving Supervisor to join our Surfacing team in Auckland. You’ll lead paving crews, coordinate plant and materials, and deliver safe, high-quality asphalt surfacing works, helping us deliver safer roads and strong outcomes for our clients and communities.
In this role, you’ll lead paving crews, plant, materials, and daily site activity to deliver asphalt surfacing works safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with the Surfacing Operations Manager and wider team to plan well, keep production on track, and get the job done right the first time. This is a hands‑on role for someone who knows paving, backs their people, and leads well under pressure. If you enjoy leading good people, solving problems, and delivering quality outcomes, you’ll fit right in.
We’re looking for someone with Proven experience supervising paving or asphalt surfacing crews in the New Zealand roading environment. At least 3–5 years’ experience in paving or asphalt surfacing operations. Strong knowledge of asphalt paving methods, materials, plant, and equipment. Experience delivering work on live road networks and working safely in high‑traffic environments. Familiarity with NZTA, Auckland Transport, or equivalent client specifications and quality standards. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, support, and get the best out of a team. Good planning, organisation, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think ahead and keep things moving. Relevant licences and endorsements such as Class 1, 2, 4, 5, WTR, and Dangerous Goods, or the ability to obtain them, depending on the project and region.
At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.
At Fulton Hogan, we build, maintain, and renew the roads, bridges, water, energy, and civil infrastructure that communities rely on every day. We’re flat, friendly, and low ego. Titles matter less than ideas, and we back our people to speak up, take ownership, and find better ways to get the job done. We take the work seriously, not ourselves, and we’re serious about safety, quality, and helping our people succeed.
