Job summary

IHC is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Wellington. This part-time role (30–32 hours per week) is a fixed-term position running until July 2027, reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager Accessible Properties.

Qualifications

CA qualification and relevant tertiary degree (Finance, Commerce, Accounting).
Solid financial accounting experience with NZ IFRS and/or NZ PBE standards.
Experience with month-end close processes, statutory reporting and external audits.
Working knowledge of treasury operations and cashflow management.
Advanced Excel skills.
Attention to detail and collaborative, improvement-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Support month-end close, financial result reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare and support month-end management reporting, including actual vs budget analysis and forecasting for business units.
Contribute to statutory reporting and external audits.
Assist with cashflow forecasting, cash management and treasury compliance.
Mentor junior team members and promote collaboration and accountability.
