Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver advanced cardiopulmonary care as prescribed by physicians. This part-time role features a schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements and supports pulmonary testing, arterial blood gas collection, and CPAP fittings.

The RRT will implement respiratory protocols, monitor patient progress, educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and participate in quality initiatives to improve care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic testing per protocol (PFTs, ABG collection).
• Oversees and troubleshoots respiratory equipment.
• Initiates Respiratory Protocol and interventions.
• Administers medications safely and evaluates effect.
• Documents productivity and clinical information.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
