Job summary

Physiotherapist Child Development Service at Dunedin Hospital is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join a fixed term, part-time role (0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week) until end of June 2027. You will work with children aged 0–16 and their families across Coastal Otago, in both centre and community settings.

The role involves collaboration with WellChild/Tamariki, health providers, schools and whānau to set patient-centred goals and appropriate interventions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and empathy for children and families.
• Experience in paediatrics or neurorehabilitation desirable.
• Current NZ Physiotherapy Board registration and APC required.
• Wheelchair seating assessments experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 0–16 and families across Coastal Otago in centre and community settings.
• Collaborate with Health NZ and partner services to support children and families.
• Collaborate with whanau to set patient-centered outcomes and interventions.
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team and support student development.
