Job summary

Kaipara District Council is seeking a fixed-term People & Capability, Business Partner to join our People & Capability team. This hands-on role delivers strategic people projects across the council, with a focus on organisational change, wellbeing, workforce transition and capability initiatives.

Based in Mangawhai or Dargaville with work-from-home options, the part-time 36 hours per week role supports leaders through change, maintains records and governance, and helps build organisational

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in HR or related field.
• Experience across HR generalist, P&C business partnering, organisational development or capability initiatives.
• Knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Support workforce transition and change readiness for Northland Waters transition.
• Lead or contribute to People & Capability programme initiatives.
• Provide change support, guidance and stakeholder engagement for organisational change.
• Coordinate learning, capability and manager support resources.
• Maintain records, action plans, risks and reporting for governance.
