Job summary

Leonard's in New Zealand is seeking a reliable Production Operator to join our Small Goods Processing team. You will process and prepare a variety of meat products, operate cutting, trimming, grinding and other processing equipment, and assist in making sausages, bacon and cured meats.

Based at Greenmount Drive, East Tamaki, you’ll pack and label products while upholding strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food processing, manufacturing, or a similar production environment (preferred but not essential).
• A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable and punctual approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare a variety of small goods and meat products to established specifications.
• Operate processing equipment, including cutting, trimming, grinding, and other production machinery.
• Assist in the manufacture of sausages, bacon, cured meats, and other small goods products.
• Accurately pack, label, and prepare products for distribution.
• Adhere to food safety, quality assurance, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Support team productivity and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
