Job summary

Bupa in Cambridge, NZ is seeking a Maintenance Officer to oversee the upkeep of St KildaCare Home. This role supports building operations with indoor and outdoor maintenance, painting, and basic repairs, working 11 hours per week on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will coordinate on-site contractors, keep accurate records, ensure compliance, and help plan minor refurbishments with managers, bringing practical skills and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ maintenance experience in a similar position.
• Ability to use power tools and maintenance equipment safely.
• Legally entitled to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility and oversee upkeep.
• Follow preventative and planned maintenance programmes.
• Manage cost efficiency and monitor energy usage.
• Keep current records of works and meet compliance requirements.
• Manage on-site contractors and negotiate with suppliers.
• Assist planning and implementation of minor refurbishments.
