Job summary

Summerset is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant for our Richmond village. You’ll help with basic food preparation, plating and presentation, dishwashing and keeping the kitchen clean and compliant, contributing to wellbeing of residents and families.

This is a part-time role, 10 hours a week, Friday and Saturday 2.00 pm–7.30 pm. We value reliability, teamwork and a can-do attitude, with opportunities for ongoing training and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience ideally within hospitality.
• Friendly, can-do attitude and great communication skills.
• Good physical stamina.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation such as peeling, chopping and portioning
• Helping with plating and presentation of meals
• Operating dishwashers and ensuring all kitchenware are properly sanitised
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised, and compliant
• Helping to receive, unpack and store deliveries, including stock rotation
