Job summary

sKids is seeking an Assistant Programme Manager in Auckland. You will work a minimum of 10 hours per week, scheduled Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7am to 8:30am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm. There may be holiday programme hours between 7am and 6pm.

Qualifications

• Leadership responsibilities in a team setting.
• Experience managing groups of children or youth.
• Strong communication with children, caregivers, and staff.
• Experience in childcare, OSCAR, coaching, camps, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support the Programme Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Step up as 2IC and lead sessions when the Programme Manager is away.
• Supervise large groups of tamariki in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Assist in planning and delivering arts, sports, games, and trips.
• Help manage behaviour using positive guidance and consistency.
• Support Programme Assistants on shift and ensure smooth activities.
• Build relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff.
• Assist with set-up, pack-down, and resource prep.
