Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a registered nurse to join the Kenepuru Medical Day Ward. The role is permanent and available as part-time (0.6 FTE) with rostering and rotating shifts, and also as full-time.

You will work Monday to Friday, with ward hours expanding from 07:30 to 19:30 as labour scales. Responsibilities include delivering IV therapy, blood products, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, with required cannulation and CVAD skills.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Registered Nurse (or equivalent) with valid practicing certificate.
• Experience delivering IV therapy including blood products, chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Experience with peripheral cannulation and central venous access devices (CVAD).
• Completed CAP/NETP programme or equivalent.
• At least 5 years nursing experience in chemotherapy, transfusion and infusions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IV therapy and administer fluids, blood products and medicines.
• Perform IV cannulation and manage CVAD as required.
• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Medical Day Ward setting.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Rostered part-time or full-time shifts; contribute to rotating roster including mornings.
