Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Medical Day Ward on a permanent basis, with part-time 0.6 FTE, or full-time options. You’ll deliver IV therapies including blood products, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, in a supportive, team-focused environment.

The ward values teamwork and excellent nursing care; requires IV cannulation and CVAD experience, NZ registration, and a flexible, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Active team member delivering IV therapy and infusions.
• Able to perform IV cannulation and manage central lines.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Leadership experience is preferable.
• CAP/NETP programme completed is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IV therapy including blood products, chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Cannulation and management of central venous access devices.
• Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy medical day ward.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care.
