Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Gisborne is seeking a registered nurse to join Ward 5, an busy Adult Medical Inpatient Ward providing care for a wide range of conditions. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The part-time 0.9FTE position (72 hours per fortnight) offers opportunities to develop clinically, work in a culturally responsive environment, and contribute to discharge planning and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current APC.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori health outcomes.
• Strong communication, assessment, clinical reasoning and time management.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care to patients and whānau.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions.
• Coordinate patient care and discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support culturally responsive practice and improve Māori health outcomes.
• Engage in quality improvement and professional development.
