Job summary

Presbyterian Support Central (PSC) is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 1:30pm, at our Manawatu sites. You will maintain grounds, gardens and assist with ad hoc maintenance projects, following monthly/annual work schedules to keep the home and village well presented.

You will work with the Home Manager and asset teams, oversee contractors, and ensure health and safety practices are followed.

Responsibilities

• Implement maintenance and gardening as per monthly and annual work schedules.
• Oversee service contracts for maintenance or gardening with the Home Manager.
• Keep storage areas clean, secure and tidy and ensure equipment is safe and well‑maintained.
• Ensure PPE use and H&S guidelines are followed for maintenance tasks.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance records.
