Lumino Manawatu Dental in Palmerston North is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join a busy, patient-focused practice. The role combines clinical chairside support with front-desk administration, providing a varied and rewarding daily routine.

Initially, the successful candidate will spend one day per week supporting the Feilding practice before transitioning to a permanent Palmerston North position.

Qualifications

• Experience in a dental or customer-facing role is preferred but not essential.
• Delivering outstanding customer service and patient care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians chairside during dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterilisation/infection control standards.
• Greet patients and provide a positive, professional experience from arrival to departure.
• Manage appointments, answer phone enquiries, and respond to patient queries.
• Process payments and handle general administrative tasks.
• Support the team to ensure smooth daily operations and a collaborative workplace.
