Job summary

Treescape in Kumeu, Auckland, is seeking a Conservation Technician to join our environmental restoration team, focusing on weed control, native planting, and ecological enhancement across the Auckland region. The ideal candidate has a current Growsafe certificate, a class 1 NZ driver licence, experience with agrichemical spraying, and a safety‑minded, outdoors‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

Must have current Growsafe certificate or equivalent agrichemical handling qualification.
Full NZ Driver Licence (Class 1) is required.
Experience with agrichemical spraying and weed control operations is essential.
Experience in native tree planting and revegetation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Agrichemical spraying for weed and pest plant control.
Native tree and shrub planting.
Council and private large-scale planting projects.
Pest plant monitoring and removal.
Plant maintenance, watering, mulching, and aftercare activities.
Recording completed works and reporting field observations.
Adhering to site-specific health and safety requirements and environmental standards.
