Job summary

New Zealand Parole Board invites applications for a Hearing Manager to support the Board's operations. This is a secondment / fixed-term role until 10 July 2028, based in Wellington or Hawke's Bay.

You will liaise with victims, Board Members and other stakeholders, and facilitate hearings in person or via MS Teams from the Board Offices. You will manage case files, data entry and ensure accuracy with a strong focus on confidentiality, integrity, and cultural competence including Te Tiriti o

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate confidently and empathetically with victims, Board Members and stakeholders.
• Proven MS Office proficiency, especially Teams, Outlook and Excel.
• Demonstrated resilience with sensitive information and crime-related contexts.
• High integrity, able to handle confidential personal data.
• Strong organisation to manage competing priorities and tasks.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Case management with accurate, up-to-date files and data entry.
• Hearing management, facilitating parole hearings in person or via MS Teams.
