Job summary

Auckland Council in the Parks Planning team is seeking an intermediate Parks Consents Planner for a full-time, permanent role based in Auckland's CBD. You will apply regulatory and resource management knowledge to support open space and park developments, working within the RMA and related legislation.

You will work with a supportive team to deliver high-quality outcomes, develop stakeholder relationships with Local Boards, and gain mentoring from senior staff to build your skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in regulatory planning or resource management.
• Tertiary qualification in resource consent, planning policy or parks and open space.
• Ability to manage projects and deliver outcomes in a public environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide input into regulatory and consenting processes for parks and open space.
• Represent Parks and Community Facilities perspective in regulatory matters within Auckland CBD.
• Deliver high-quality open space outcomes within the RMA framework and grow stakeholder relationships.
