Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a qualified Paramedic to join ourteam in Whakatāne!

This is a permanent position, working an average of 42 hours on a 4 x 4 DDNN roster.

We are looking for an experienced Paramedic who is adaptable and can settle into our team with ease, work alongside both paid and volunteer staff and provide a high level of care to our patients. The ideal applicants would have a positive demeanour, willingness to contribute to station portfolios, and champion clinical excellence.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A currentSt John Authority to Practice at Paramedic level
  • Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council
  • Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
  • Excellent driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Evidence of CCE
  • Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values -Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
