Job summary

Tradestaff Cambridge is seeking 3–4 skilled Industrial Painters for a 4-6 week project on a new industrial build in Hautapu, Cambridge. Start mid August with pay rate $28–$32 per hour, weekly pay.

You will prepare surfaces, apply coatings, read specs, and ensure quality and safety on large-scale industrial work. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in industrial painting, experience with spray equipment, and a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial painting.
• Experience using industrial spray equipment and coating systems.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical drawings.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding and blasting.
• Apply primers, protective coatings, sealers, and industrial paints using spray guns, rollers, and brushes.
• Mix paints and coatings to manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret job specifications, drawings, and coating requirements.
• Mask and protect surrounding surfaces before painting.
• Apply coatings to structural steel, machinery and pipelines.
• Inspect completed work to ensure coating thickness, finish quality, and compliance with project specifications.
• Complete touch-ups and repairs where required.
• Follow strict health and safety procedures, including working at heights where required.
• Maintain equipment, complete job documentation, and keep work areas clean and organised.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver quality outcomes and meet project deadlines.
