Job summary

ARC 2027 - TGA Paediatrics Senior House Officer in Tauranga Hospital is a full‑time position commencing January 2027. The SHO will gain experience across general paediatrics and neonatology, with Basic Training accreditation potential and robust supervision.

The role offers exposure to both acute and elective paediatric cases, within a supportive team, on a rotating roster including days, evenings, nights and weekends. A great stepping stone for paediatrics-focused careers.

Qualifications

• The role provides exposure to a wide range of acute and elective paediatric cases.
• Accredited Basic Training in Paediatrics by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).
• Experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatology is possible within the department.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy and supportive Paediatric Department with supervision from Registrars and senior medical staff.
• Gain hands-on experience managing paediatric presentations in General Paediatrics and Neonatology.
• Roster includes day shifts, long days, evenings, nights and weekends on an eight-person roster.
