Job summary

Health NZ Counties Manukau invites applications for a Nurse Practitioner to join the Paediatric Ambulatory Service at Kidz First, Manukau Health Park. You will lead advanced clinical care for children with complex neurodevelopmental needs, working autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on equity and high-quality care for tamariki, with strong whanau engagement, collaboration with primary and secondary services, and ongoing service development.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse Practitioner with APC and 5+ years in paediatrics and neurodevelopmental care.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management for children with chronic neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Lead care coordination across primary, community, and secondary services.
• Deliver Nurse Practitioner–led clinics and innovative models of care.
• Engage with whaanau to ensure culturally responsive, family-centred care.
• Mentor and provide clinical leadership to nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Collaborate with NGOs, GPs, locality teams, education providers, Oranga Tamariki and other health and social services.
