Qualifications

• Eligibility for General or Provisional General registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• At least 6 months experience in Paediatrics at Senior House Officer or Registrar level
• Confidence in managing acute presentations with appropriate escalation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development

Responsibilities

• Manage a wide range of acute and general paediatric presentations from initial assessment to ongoing management
• Provide patient care in a well-supported environment with supervision from senior clinicians
• Collaborate with paediatricians, nursing staff and visiting subspecialists to ensure comprehensive care
• Participate in teaching and clinical support activities for registrars and junior staff
