Job summary

Champion Flour Milling Limited based at Mt Maunganui is seeking a Rotation Shift Packing Operator to join our packing operation on a permanent full-time basis.

You will play a key role in supporting the site packing team by maintaining day-to-day productivity, ensuring products are packaged to our quality standards, monitoring production lines, performing quality checks and keeping accurate documentation while adhering to safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and physical stamina are important for operating packing lines and handling materials.
• Training will be provided with emphasis on Health & Safety, Food Safety and GMPs.
• Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day productivity of pre weigh, premix and packing areas is optimal.
• Ensure products are packaged according to quality standards.
• Monitor production lines, perform quality checks and maintain accurate documentation while following safety protocols.

We are currently looking for aRotation Shift PackingOperator to be based at our Mt Maunganui site and to work in our packing operation on a permanent full-time basis.

The Packing Operator is an integral member of the Packing team, the position will provide strong support to the existing site-based team by:

• Ensuring that the day-to-day productivity of the pre weigh, premix and packing areas are at optimal levels
• Ensuring products are properly packaged according to quality standards
• Monitoring production lines, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to safety protocols within a manufacturing environment

Rotation Shift Pattern:

6:00am to 6:00pm 3 days on and 3 days off then 6:00pm start 6:00am finish, 3 nights on 3 nights off

Hourly Rate:

$28 - $33 depending on skills and experience

Work environment:

Packaging operators typically work in manufacturing facilities, often on production lines and may be exposed to noise and repetitive tasks.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with previous experience in food handling packing operations, however, full training will be given with strong emphasis on workplace Health & Safety, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
