Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified technician to join our team of machine systems technicians. This is a full-time permanent role based in Tauranga.

The main objective of the role is to maintain, repair and retool plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, with a focus on upholding safety and maximising production at our customer’s sites. To be successful, you need to have the following:

• Strong trade qualified skills (hydraulic, electrical, or pneumatic experience advantageous)
• Good fitting, fabrication and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to effectively perform preventative maintenance tasks
• You enjoy being part of a team environment, but have ability to work unsupervised
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills (written and oral)
• Robust problem-solving skills
• Flexibility, initiative, and proactive
• Participate in rotating call out and shifts during times of peak seasonal demand and as required
• An uncompromising attitude towards Health & Safety
• Limited or full electrical licences desirable
• Fibre Packaging or production machinery knowledge advantageous
