Fonterra Te Mātāpuna is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner for a 12-month fixed-term contract across our Bay of Plenty sites, including Edgecumbe and Reporoa. The role is strategic, embedding workforce planning, capability development and culture transformation into site operations.

You will partner with site leaders to translate people strategy into action, drive high performance, support change initiatives and deliver organizational solutions with real business impact.

About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

As a People & Culture Business Partner in New Zealand Manufacturing, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce. This is a strategic partnering role, bringing our people strategy to life by embedding workforce planning, capability development, and culture transformation into site operations—aligned with business priorities and the evolving needs of our Co-op.

Working closely with leaders across our Lower North Island Manufacturing sites, but in particular Edgecumbe and Reporoa sites, you’ll influence strategic thinking, drive high performance, partner to deliver change, and provide organisational solutions with real business impact.

As a trusted People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll deliver our Fonterra people strategy and ensure people processes, programmes and systems are aligned to our business strategy while leading programmes of work to drive performance through people. This is a unique opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, shape meaningful change, and grow your career in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.

Please note this is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

You’re a strategic thinker with strong business insight and a passion for enabling performance. Future-focused and adaptable, you bring fresh perspectives and confidently lead change across complex environments.

You have proven experience in partnering with leaders to drive change, , with a track record of designing and delivering end-to-end strategies in large organisations. You translate strategy into action—embedding practical frameworks and tools that build long-term capability and performance. You’re experienced in leading culture transformation in unionised environments, embedding workforce planning, capability building, and high-performance practices into integrated programmes.

Data-driven and outcomes-focused, you use insights to shape strategy, drive execution, and meet stakeholder needs. With strong influencing skills, you partner effectively with diverse leadership teams to anticipate workforce needs and enable business success.

Business-focused and employee-centric, you bring clarity, confidence, and impact to everything you do. Comfortable working across multiple sites and building relationships in diverse operational environments, you hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence and are willing to travel regularly as required.
