Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Auckland is seeking an experienced Heavy Haulage Transport Driver to move oversized, overweight and difficult-to-move loads safely, legally and efficiently across Auckland. From heavy machinery to large structures, you’ll play a key role in delivering complex transport movements that keep major projects running.

This night shift role runs 6pm to 6am, Monday to Friday, requiring a current New Zealand Class 4 or Class 5 licence, strong load restraint knowledge, route planning

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy haulage trucks and trailers.
• Strong understanding of load restraint and safety practices.
• Proven ability to plan routes for oversized loads.
• Commitment to safety, professionalism and quality work.
• Clear communication with dispatch, customers and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy haulage trucks and trailers safely.
• Transport oversized, overweight and specialised loads across Auckland.
• Load, restrain and secure freight to meet safety requirements.
• Conduct pre-starts, vehicle checks and equipment inspections.
• Follow approved routes and assist with safe transport planning for complex movements.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, escorts, customers and site teams to deliver efficiently.
• Ensure work complies with permit, compliance and health and safety.
