Job summary

Delta Utility Services is seeking an Environmental Labourer to join our Cromwell team. This outdoor role supports maintenance of turf, gardens, cemeteries, playgrounds, and other CODC assets, with responsibilities including mower operation, weed eating, spraying, and general grounds upkeep.

We value a practical, safety-conscious mindset, reliable work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively. Local NZ residents with valid work eligibility are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and a current, clean full Class 1 driver licence; W, T and R endorsements would be advantageous.
• A demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
• Dedication to completing every job to a high standard and in line with contract requirements.
• A courteous and respectful manner when interacting with the public.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work reliably with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work the hours required to meet operational needs.
• The ability to prioritize tasks and meet agreed timeframes.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate wide area ride-on mowers.
• Weed eating and spraying.
• Carrying out general grounds maintenance.
• Complete basic mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment.
