Job summary

Delta Utility Services seeks an Environmental Labourer to maintain amenity spaces and assets across Ranfurly and surrounding areas. The role involves outdoor, practical work including mowing, weed control and basic equipment maintenance.

Applicants with a current Class 1 driver licence and a safety-focused approach are preferred. The position supports a wider rural area with occasional team backing and flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and a current, clean full Class 1 driver licence; W, T and R endorsements would be advantageous.
• A demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
• Dedication to completing every job to a high standard and in line with contract requirements.
• A courteous and respectful manner when interacting with the public.
• A strong work ethic and ability to work reliably with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work hours required for operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate wide area ride-on mowers, weed eating and spraying as required.
• Undertake general grounds maintenance on turf, gardens and assets.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Work solo with occasional support from Alexandra team and broader area.
