Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a multiskilled Response Operator to join our Masterton team. This hands‑on role keeps public spaces safe, tidy and well maintained, with diverse outdoor duties and the opportunity to support across response and repairs.

You will work across gardening, mowing, and maintenance tasks, gaining exposure to a wide range of equipment and workflows. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a valid driver licence are important.

Qualifications

• Experience in gardening, horticulture, mowing, or outdoor maintenance is preferred.
• Comfort operating equipment or willingness to learn.
• Full, clean driver licence and ability to tow trailers is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Gardening and grounds maintenance across parks and reserves.
• Mower operations across multiple spaces and open areas.
• Support across response and repairs tasks, including reactive maintenance for assets.
• Assist across team during busy periods and staff leave.
