Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau in Whangārei is seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Consultant for a permanent, part-time role (0.8 FTE). The position is based at Whangārei Hospital with travel to rural hospitals as required.

You will supervise acute operating lists, lead ward rounds and clinics, and undertake elective operating—particularly arthroplasty—with scope to align work to your interests. The role includes contributing to audit, teaching, research and CPD.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Experience in arthroplasty and orthopaedic care is preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple sites with travel as required.
