Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern invites applications for an Ophthalmic Photographer to join the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department at Southland Hospital on a permanent part-time basis. The role provides photographic and technical support, as well as administrative services, with opportunities to work with advanced equipment and perform visual field testing in a supportive team.

• Some ophthalmic experience is advantageous but not required.

About the role

We are looking for an Ophthalmic Photographer to join the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department here at Southland Hospital on a permanent part-time basis.

The primary responsibility of the position is to provide photographic and technical support, as well as associated administrative services for the Ophthalmology Department.

You will be given the opportunity to utilise and develop a variety of technical proficiencies, and work with sophisticated technology in a friendly and supportive team environment. About you

To be successful in this role you will: -

• Have a positive ‘can-do' attitude.

• Hold a Level 4 certificate in Digital Photography (or higher) or be working towards this.
• Some experience within an ophthalmic field would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Be flexible in your availability as some occasional weekend work may be required
