Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Dunedin Hospital, is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer for a permanent, 0.8–1.0 FTE position (32–40 hours per week) in the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.

The role provides photographic and technical support as well as associated administrative services for the Ophthalmology Department. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Have a positive ‘can-do' attitude and be open to new ways of working.
• Hold a Level 4 certificate in Digital Photography (or higher) or be working towards it.
• Some ophthalmic experience is advantageous but not essential.

About the role

We are looking for an Ophthalmic Photographer to join the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department here at Dunedin Hospital on a permanent part-time basis.

The primary responsibility of the position is to provide photographic and technical support, as well as associated administrative services for the Ophthalmology Department.

About you

• Have a positive ‘can-do' attitude.
• Be open to new ways of working to provide patients with the most efficient and effective service.
• Hold a Level 4 certificate in Digital Photography (or higher) or be working towards this.
• Some experience within an ophthalmic field would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Be flexible in your availability as some occasional weekend work may be required
