Mr Apple in Whakatu (Hawke's Bay) seeks a capable leader for a 12-month fixed-term role to steer a binstores team through packing season and gain hands-on orchard experience during the growing season.

You will lead people, solve operational challenges, and take ownership of performance while expanding horticultural knowledge and cross-functional skills across our large horticultural business.

Formación

• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Forklift operating experience or willingness to obtain licences.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach and support the binstores team to achieve daily operational goals.
• Oversee the safe storage, treatment and dispatch of fruit while maintaining product quality.
• Manage inventory accuracy, data recording and traceability requirements.
• Coordinate fruit movements with packhouse, transport and orchard teams to maximise efficiency.
• Run daily planning sessions and ensure resources are aligned to operational demands.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and accountability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Previous experience leading or supervising a team
• Forklift operating experience and willingness to obtain any required licences
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple priorities
• Confidence using computers and systems, including basic Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships
