Job summary

Mr Apple is seeking a capable team leader for a 12-month fixed-term role overseeing our binstores during packing season and gaining hands-on orchard experience. You will lead a small team, manage daily operations, and drive performance while building your horticultural knowledge.

You will coordinate with packhouse, transport and orchard teams, ensure inventory accuracy and data traceability, and work on continuous improvement within a large horticultural organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
• Forklift operating experience and willingness to obtain any required licences.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
• Confidence using computers and systems, including basic Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support the binstores team to achieve daily operational goals.
• Oversee the safe storage, treatment and dispatch of fruit while maintaining product quality.
• Manage inventory accuracy, data recording and traceability requirements.
• Coordinate fruit movements with packhouse, transport and orchard teams to maximise efficiency.
• Run daily planning sessions and ensure resources are aligned to operational demands.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and accountability.
