Job summary

The Department of Corrections NZ invites applications for an Operations Manager at the New Zealand Parole Board in Wellington. You will lead Hearing Managers, Senior Hearing Managers and Administrators to deliver operational and administrative support under the Parole Act 2002 and Victims Rights Act 2002.

You will be the key interface between the Board and the Department, foster a positive team culture, manage performance reporting, and participate in on-call recalls.

## About this roleTake the next step in your career and join a team that plays a vital role in Aotearoa's criminal justice system and enhances public safety.* Permanent opportunity* Based in Wellington**Mō te tūnga | About the role**As an **Operations Manager at the New Zealand Parole Board,** you'll be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, management and guidance to a team of dedicated Hearing Managers, Senior Hearing Managers and Administrators responsible for delivering operational and administrative support services to enable the Board to carry out its statutory responsibilities under the Parole Act 2002 and Victims Right Acts 2002.In this role you'll act as a key interface between the Board and the Department of Corrections for all administration requirements, including embedding a strong quality ethos and carrying out regular assurance activities and performance reporting. You will be responsible for developing and uplifting a strong team with a positive team culture.
