DOC seeks an Operations Advisor to lead district-wide operational planning, performance reporting and governance to support conservation outcomes. You will work with district leaders to coordinate planning, identify risks, and turn data into actionable insights for better decisions.

Qualifications

  • Operational planning and governance experience in conservation or similar operational environments.
  • Ability to translate priorities into actionable work programmes and plans.
  • Strong data insights for informed operational decision-making.
  • Experience working with iwi, community groups and multiple stakeholders.
  • Mātauranga Māori / Te Tiriti o Waitangi understanding relevant to DOC work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, reporting and budget management for the district.
  • Provide district-wide assurance on governance, reporting obligations and risk management.
  • Develop business plans and translate priorities into work programmes.
  • Produce quarterly and annual district plans and reporting insights.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll work closely with operational leaders to coordinate planning and reporting, identify risks and opportunities, and support the effective delivery of district priorities.
