Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Limited seeks a Senior Manager to lead Open Finance, oversee industry participation, and manage ecosystem frameworks. You will shape strategy, drive regulatory engagement, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, resilient services aligned with evolving customer and market needs.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to influence regulators, industry bodies, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Open Finance, payments, banking, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Open Finance frameworks and API ecosystems.
• Proven experience engaging regulators, industry bodies, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Westpac New Zealand's Open Finance domain and ecosystem engagement.
• Represent the bank in regulators, industry groups, and standards bodies.
• Own governance, risk, and compliance for Open Finance and ecosystem obligations.
• Translate industry/regulatory changes into business impact and actions.
• Coordinate enterprise responses to regulatory consultations and policy proposals.
• Partner with Product, Digital, Technology, Risk and Operations to evolve Open Finance capabilities.
