Job summary

Lactalis New Zealand is seeking an experienced HSE professional to strengthen health, safety, and environmental performance across a fast-paced dairy manufacturing operation. You will partner with site leaders and frontline teams to embed practical, risk-based solutions and lead investigations to prevent recurrence.

The role requires visible leadership on site, strong coaching skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority in a continuous 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of practical HSE experience in FMCG or high-risk operations.
• Recognised NZ health and safety qualification or equivalent competency.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, critical controls, investigations and audits.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen HSE ownership with site leaders and frontline teams.
• Lead investigations to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Facilitate risk assessments and verification of critical controls.
• Coach leaders to translate HSE requirements into practical site practices.
• Support environmental, energy, and regulatory compliance through audits and record-keeping.
